How it works

Simple

The LaserBriteTM in-surgery teeth whitening system consists of a gentle Hydrogen Peroxide based whitening gel and a special Xeon-Halogen light source. The Xeon-Halogen light source offers a unique benefit, as it delivers an optimal band width of 350-530nm for the acceleration of photochemical decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide, the main activator in teeth whitening.

A special liquid filled light guide, transmits all the light energy, eliminating all of the heat, making the whitening experience a cool and comfortable procedure.

Safe

The active ingredient in the LaserBriteTM treatment is Hydrogen Peroxide, which has been safely used in teeth whitening for hundreds of years. Hydrogen Peroxide is recognized as a common and effective ingredient by the dental community. It has also been tested and found safe by university researchers. The LaserBriteTM treatment has no adverse effect on existing restorations (fillings), and does not soften the enamel tooth structure.

Will it hurt ?

The process is normally painless. A very small percentage of people may experience a minor tingle following the procedure. Applying a fluoride gel almost always resolves the sensation.

Painless

Unlike some other systems, the LaserBriteTM whitening system uses a Xeon-Halogen light source with a special liquid light delivery system. This allows the optimum band width of light to be transferred to the tooth surface in order to create a photochemical reaction with the Hydrogen Peroxide. One of the unique features of LaserBriteTM is that little or no heat is transferred, thus ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.

Convenient

A comfortable, Hydrogen Peroxide based whitening gel (PowerGelTM) is applied to the teeth by a qualified dental staff member. The gel is activated by the unique LaserBriteTM light source. Only two or three, eight-minute applications are required and the entire procedure is complete in less than an hour.

Wearing cumbersome overnight whitening mouth trays will become a thing of the past.

Clinical studies have shown that the LaserBriteTM in-surgery whitening treatment generally achieves an 7-10 shade improvement. Individual results may vary and will depend upon your initial tooth colouring and your oral hygiene circumstances. With LaserBriteTM your teeth will be whitened to their optimum natural shade.

How long does it last ?

Your teeth are as individual and unique as you are, and therefore your results may vary. However, in general LaserBriteTM whitening results can last up to two years assuming you have good hygiene.Your qualified dental staff member will explain this at the initial consultation.

Does it work on veneers, crowns or tooth coloured bonded materials ?

The LaserBriteTM treatment is designed to work on vital (living) teeth. However, dental staff have reported success in removing stains from veneers, crowns and tooth coloured bonded materials. During your consultation qualified dental staff will discuss your particular situation.
